What is VideoBank?
The VideoBank service allows young people to browse a wide range of Greater Manchester youth videos. The project is a new idea, headed by Connexions Greater Manchester, which has been funded by the North West Regional Development Agency. There is a broad range of videos available that have either been made by or for young people. The aim is to entertain, educate and inspire.

The website makes use of it’s own dedicated video server so that a large number of users can access the videos at any one time. This website was launched in September 2005 and the number of videos held within the system will increase rapidly throughout the following year.

Using VideoBank
The latest and most popular videos can be found on the front page of the website. So even if you think you have watched everything just check back in a couple of weeks and select the latest videos from the front page. If you search by a Category and too many results appear you can reduce the number of results by choosing a Sub Category.

The Videos Don’t Play on My Computer!
It should be made clear that a Broadband (or equivalent) Internet connection is required. If you are attempting to access the website using a dial-up connection the videos will fail to play properly. Also you must have Flash Player installed – if the videos do not appear follow the Flash link found above the video play area.
